Allround Vegetable Processing gains real-time insight with Isah

“The history of Allround Vegetable Processing goes back to 1997, when two brothers began developing a bulb dryer,” Beuving begins. “Later, the company expanded its activities to focus on the processing of freshly harvested vegetables. By keeping everything in-house, the company has grown steadily over the years to a workforce of 130 people across both the Netherlands and India. Each location has its own customer base. India is truly a potato country, so we produce a lot for local companies there, specializing in smaller production lines. In the Netherlands, we focus more on developing specialized machines and supply companies around the world through a dealer network.”

Managing operations via Excel reached its limits

Beuving joined Allround as CFO in 2014. “While the accounting system in Exact functioned well, we had clearly outgrown the stage where we could manage the organization with Excel sheets. We needed a better inventory management system, and there was still a lot of room for improvement on the production side. We had to approach things more professionally and efficiently to gain the insight needed to support further growth.”

Allround began conversations with various vendors, taking a pragmatic approach. Beuving explains, “It was crucial that the system we chose could eventually also be implemented at our location in India. We also placed great importance on the user interface. The system needed to be intuitive and easy to use, including for foreign employees working at our Dutch facility, as we didn’t want to burden anyone with a complicated program.” 

Advantages of Isah ERP software

As the discussions progressed, Allround recognized many advantages in Isah’s ERP solution. In addition to being available in multiple languages, the Shop Floor Control module stood out as particularly user-friendly. Beuving continues, “The fact that Isah Finance is fully integrated into the ERP solution was a huge plus for me. I was also very excited about the possibilities that Isah offers with Power BI. Another strong point was Isah’s extensive experience in integrating with our CAD software from Cad & Company. The conversations with the Isah team were also very positive. Their presentations were well-prepared and engaging, which definitely influenced our decision. All of these factors combined ultimately led us to choose Isah.” 

Isah provided guidance during the implementation

“When we started the implementation, it was quite an intense period for me and my colleagues. Most of us had little or no ERP experience. The configuration choices discussed with the Isah consultant were sometimes difficult for us to fully grasp. Fortunately, the collaboration with Isah went very smoothly. The consultant also provided clear guidance when needed, explaining, ‘This is the Isah best practice, and this is how we will do it.’ That structure was very helpful. Looking back now, I am still completely satisfied with the choices we made,” says Beuving.
