Global Organ Group chooses Isah ERP software to ensure future readiness and efficiency
Global Organ Group, the largest digital organ manufacturer in the world, has recently selected Isah’s ERP solution. Marketing Manager Vera van de Krol was involved in the ERP selection process and will soon take on an active role in the implementation project. She tells us more about this important step for Global Organ Group.

“Our organs are played all over the world, from living rooms to cathedrals. To make this possible, we need a reliable and efficient ERP solution that will help us remain future-ready,” says van de Krol.
The search for new ERP software
Global Organ Group operates worldwide and produces a range of organ brands, each rooted in its own tradition. In the Netherlands, the Johannus brand is especially well known and has been in existence for more than 50 years. “In the past, the difference between a traditional pipe organ and a digital organ was clearly audible,” van de Krol explains. “Today, thanks to digital technologies, we can come much closer to reproducing the sound of a pipe organ. Each week, we produce approximately 25 to 30 organs at our facility in Ede, which are then played all over the world.”
For several years, Global Organ Group had increasingly felt that their operations could be more efficient. The company had been working with a self-developed software solution that managed the entire process from order intake to delivery. “Because of the many stories you often hear about high costs and long implementation projects, our owners were somewhat hesitant to switch to a full ERP system,” says van de Krol. “Ultimately, my graduation research, which focused on the question ‘How can we work more efficiently and remain future-ready?’ triggered the start of a search for a new software solution. Working with separated systems meant there was little cohesion internally. In addition, many processes, such as invoicing or certain counts, required manual actions. Our IT landscape was simply no longer sufficient.”

“Our products are complex, with countless variants and options. The Isah product configurator can manage that complexity effectively.”
Key criteria for the new ERP solution
During the search for a new ERP system, Global Organ Group defined several critical criteria. One of the most important requirements was the product configurator offered by Isah. Global Organ Group provides a wide range of organ models, each with numerous options and variants. The configurator needed to be capable of managing this complexity and to offer or exclude various combinations of options as necessary. “Our products have a complex structure, and it was essential that the configurator could handle this complexity,” says van de Krol.
Another key priority was gaining clearer visibility into planning and production processes. “At the moment, we do not plan based on capacity. Our Production Manager does much of it from memory, which is obviously less scalable and less accurate. Once we start building up data in the ERP system, we will be able to look both backward and forward. This will allow us to make better estimates for future orders. In addition, the new ERP system should help us work with less paper. I hope to see far fewer stacks of paper with instructions and drawings on each organ in the factory once we are live, if not eliminate them altogether.”
Choosing Isah’s ERP solution
Following a thorough evaluation of multiple ERP providers, Isah stood out as the optimal choice. One of the decisive factors was Isah’s strong focus on manufacturing companies and the comprehensive standard functionality the system offers. The company culture and the way of working with Isah also played an important role. Van de Krol explains, “The interaction with Isah felt very natural. The family business atmosphere and the open and honest communication gave us confidence. We received clear answers to our questions, and they did not just say ‘yes’ to everything. This inspired trust and gave us a good feeling about the collaboration.”
Implementation and strategic outlook
The implementation of Isah at Global Organ Group’s facility in Ede, where about 50 people are employed, will begin at the end of August. The project team, consisting of five employees, will coordinate the various parts of the implementation.
The main goal of the implementation is to work significantly more efficiently and to shorten production lead times. With Isah, Global Organ Group aims to gain greater insight into the entire process, from sales and purchasing through production and delivery of the organs. “We want to have a much clearer view of our margins and improve efficiency through capacity planning. This will help us be better prepared for the future,” van de Krol concludes.
